Bridging the Military-Civilian Divide

Ramon Garcia

Ramon signed up to serve in the U.S. Army in January of 2001 and spent eight years as a counterintelligence agent, serving in both Iraq and Afghanistan. When he returned, he joined a Writers Guild mentorship program, which has developed into an accomplished civilian career as an editor. Today, he remains active in his pursuit of helping other veterans to tell their stories through the written word as a volunteer at a local wellness center, where he assists veteran writers with the production of webisodes based on their military experiences.
