WHAT WORKS FOR VETERANS?

Finding what works for veterans

Posted

You spoke. We listened. And now, as we approach another Veterans Day, Veterans Coming Home is honored to share your stories, experiences, and expertise, as we explore together “what works” for veterans as they return home.

This first week, we’re exploring all things health: Service-related injuries. Physical fitness. Mental health challenges, ranging from the anxiety accompanying any big life transition, to PTSD and military sexual trauma. And the feeling of disconnection from your military and your civilian communities — an isolation that can make it harder to find quality care.

These can be challenges, no doubt. But there are proven programs and strategies that veterans, and the organizations serving veterans, are using to support healthy, happy transitions to civilian life — and more people need to know about them.

Watch the first episode in our new series HEALTH: Finding What Works, and let us know — what’s worked to keep you or your loved ones healthy during transition?
